Automatic Downloads

Superphonic always downloads at least the currently-playing podcast for uninterrupted playback. If you want to play even more episodes while offline or during spotty network conditions, it helps to download more than just the currently playing episode beforehand.

Unlike most players, you don’t have to manually manage downloads in Superphonic. Instead, just tell Superphonic how many episodes in your Playlist to download automatically, and it will manage those downloads without needing your intervention.

Playlist Episodes

This controls how many episodes from your Playlist are downloaded at any time. The default is 5. If you set this to, say, 10, then Superphonic will make sure the top 10 episodes of your Playlist are always downloaded onto your phone for uninterrupted playback even when you don’t have network connectivity. The minimum this can be set to is 1.

When you reorder items in your Playlist, Superphonic automatically manages which episodes no longer need downloaded audio. Superphonic also automatically deletes the downloaded audio whenever you’re done listening to an episode.

Only on WiFi

By default, Superphonic downloads episodes whenever you have a data connection. Turn Only on WiFi on if you instead want to only download episodes over WiFi.
