Playback Settings
You can customize how Superphonic plays podcasts in many ways.
Playback Speed
Change the speed at which podcasts are played anywhere from 0.5 - 5x. Superphonic is the only player to support 5x playback speeds, for true podcast fans wanting to get the most of their time. Speeds beyond 2x are supported for Premium members only. (Default: 1.0)
Auto-Play From Later
Play episodes from the Later list when Playlist is empty. (Default: On)
Skip Forward/Backward
Set the amount of time each skip forward or backward jumps in the audio. (Default: 30 seconds each)
Skip Method
This controls how Superphonic behaves when you trigger a skip, whether by tapping on your headphones or pressing the skip forward/backward button on the phone’s lock screen.
Time

. When transcriptions for the episode are available through Superphonic’s Premium or Trial membership, skip the current chapter of the episode.Speaker

Smart Skip
[Available for Premium and Trial members] This controls whether and how Superphonic skips short chapters (i.e. contiguous chapters around a minute or shorter), like ads or other very short segments. Smart Skip will only activate when AI generated transcripts are available (a Premium or Trial feature).

Whenever Superphonic automatically skips chapters, you’ll hear a magic sparkling sound as an indicator that Smart Skip had activated.
Superphonic Button Swipe
When you swipe on the Superphonic Button (US Patent 12,160,641), you can skip audio forward (by swiping right) or backward (by swiping left). You can control how swiping on the Superphonic Button behaves:
Variable
. The longer you swipe, the more audio is skipped. Short swipes skip 15 seconds, medium swipes skip 30, and the longest swipes skip 60. This is the default.15s
