Siri and Shortcuts
Siri and Shortcuts allow you to control your app using voice commands through Siri or execute Shortcuts for quick access to meaningful actions. You can use voice commands to manage playback, skip episodes or chapters, and even to start the app and play.
Available Shortcuts and Siri Phrases:
These are the available shortcuts and their Siri phrases.
Play Podcast
Plays a podcast listed in the playlist, and can be used to start Superphonic.
Siri phrases:
- “Play podcast in Superphonic” (Siri will respond, asking which podcast to play)
- “Play [Podcast Name] in Superphonic”
- “Play [Podcast Name] on Superphonic”
For example, if you have a “Planet Money” episode listed in your playlist you could say:
- “Play Planet Money on Superphonic”
Play First
Starts playing the first episode in the playlist. Can also be used to start Superphonic.
Siri phrase:
- “Play in Superphonic”
Pause
Pauses the current podcast being played.
Siri phrase:
- “Pause in Superphonic”
Skip
Skips forward or backward in the current episode being played, according to your Skip Mode Settings.
Siri phrases:
- “Skip in Superphonic” (Skips forward)
- “Skip [Forward/Backward] in Superphonic”
Skip Chapter
Skips a chapter forward or backward in the current episode.
Siri phrase:
- “Skip [Forward/Backward] a chapter in Superphonic”
Skip Episode
Skips an episode forward or backward in the playlist.
Siri phrase:
- “Skip [Forward/Backward] an episode in Superphonic”
Skip by Amount
Skips forward or backward by a specified amount. The available amounts are: short, medium, and long, which will respectively skip 15, 30, and 60 seconds.
Siri phrases:
- “Do a [Amount] skip in Superphonic” (Skips forward)
- “Do a [Amount] backward skip in Superphonic”
